Re: Fusor parts for sale

Brian, good luck in college, and enjoy your years there. They pass too
quickly.

The very best that I can do for you to to add that I have seen photos
of your fusor, and as a once research physcist I can share with readers
the components that you are offering for sale are things of research,
not home-made, type quality. They should be of definite interest to
anyone interested in doing serous fusion research at home.

Then too, I have a 3" CVC oil diffusion pump connected to a 3" high
vacuum gate valve for sale myself in the greater Boston area
(Chelmsford), plus a small Welch fore-pump (without a motor) both of
which need a good home. (Tel: 978-256-6972).

I didn't want to intrude on your post, but I believe that the
combination of your research quality domes and the vacuum equipment
that I am selling might make a good combination and be of benefit to
both of us.

I go off to college in a week and I'm doing everything I can right now
to scrape up some extra cash. Thus, I have decided to sell some of my
extra fusor parts on eBay; namely a set of 8" stainless steel
hemispheres and matching conflat high vacuum flanges. I got these with
the intent of making a second fusor, but never got around to it, and
probably won't in the near future.

For those of you who haven't followed my posts or been to my website, a
Fusor is a type of tabletop neutron generator that can be used to
produce detectable levels of D-D hot fusion reactions. These parts I'm
selling are used to construct the main body of the spherical vacuum
chamber. You will still need to provide your own vacuum pump, power
supply, deuterium, neutron counter and any other support equipment you
may need for your particular design.

You'll be paying far less for this stuff than what you would have if
you went out and bought the Conflats from Lesker or the hemispheres
from JG Braun. So if you've been interested in trying your hand at
making a fusor and doing some real nuclear fusion reactions, now's your
chance.

The item number is 230018271874. I am not selling my actual working
fusor or any of the other parts associated with it at this time.
