The construction of experimental appliances using hot plasma, supposed
to be in the future thermonuclear power plants, drags on decades,
involved a lot of expenses and we can only hope, that will be
successful.
In the past have been some attempts other solutions than the use of hot
plasma, e.g. Fusor of Philo T. Farnsworth, Migma Fusion of Bogdan
Maglich.
The first was far from scale useful in energetics. The second one -
probably never experimental approved - included many rationally
elements but:
1. Suggested an appliance very complicated (100 x 100 columns) which
stable action require very complicated control unit.
2. Having not of present day computational possibilities Maglich could
not predict the trajectories of ions enough exactly and went to far in
theoretic considerations without experimental support.
But one him should be granted - as a first he dared direct
transformation of kinetic energy of products of reactions into electric
energy.
At present are tested such a devices as INERTIAL ELECTROSTATIC
CONFINEMENT FUSION and SONOFUSION. The authors of them are pleased with
getting of neutrons - for energetics needs it means to be still in
nappies.
People still are thinking about alternative solutions, though to
timid, because it was created a belief, that only solution is hot
plasma fusion.
It is not true. Another solutions are possible.
I want to introduce a new concept of appliance for thermonuclear fusion
without use of plasma. It assumes a use ions alone, moving and
colliding in vacuum and having a kinetic energy proper to fusion of
them, it is properly ,,hot" and has nothing to do with so known cold
fusion
It is many times simpler than TOCAMAK and ITER and in addition includes
a possibility of direct transformation of kinetic energy of products of
reactions into electric energy.
It is in the form of model, but computational approved according laws
of physics.
If somebody doubt, can (if capable) make own computations to verify it.
The model is described on page http://noplasmafusion.webpark.pl .
