About the multi-path propagation in indoor environment

Now I study about the electomagnetic wave propagation in indoor
environment.

(Office sized about several meters)

Then If there is an obstacle between RF transponder and receiving
antenna,

the RF wave is affected by the obstacle.

But I can't know the treory that can explain the receiving signal
pattern at the antenna.

What kind of theory is possible to explain?
