Just a pedantic comment.
You don't have "345000 volts "running through both men and machine.." Every
part of the men and machine is at the same voltage so the voltage <between>
the line and the workers is nearly 0. The current through the men is also 0
although there is a small current in the suits due to capacitive coupling
from the suits and helicopter to ground. (voltage to ground will be about
200,000V but they are not bridging between the line and ground).
