The supposed plot by Iran to kill the Saudi ambassador is so silly
that it is almost unbelievable.

I see three possible choices:

1; It is real and top Iranian officials knew of it
2: Real but dreamed up by some low level type who is just a doofus
3: The Obama admin desperate to deflect attention from their screw
ups cooked it up.

I say #1 is unlikely
I think #2 and 3 to be equally likely. The Obama admin really is
stupid enough to dream this up.
