he even provides a chart on how we will realign.

I'll prefer to wait until Jack provide his opinion.

For the EU/Russia not understanding, all depends on the degree of their
understanding of the word "States" in USA....

one can agree that Maine, California, Alabama and North Dakota are
practically distinct societies & cultures, but all boil down on having
effective understanding of the many practical boundaries (whose aren't
only the federal/state/county boundaries) in US of A and his culture &
society.

Best regards from Italy,
Dott. Piergiorgio.

A big part of the problem is there is more of a urban / rural split
than anything. All the red / blue state is pretty much gloss, you look
at specifics on how they go by party, its more rural / urban. Obama
sort of had it right about being upset about guns / abortion / gays.

When I worked at the health dept, Northern Missouri was rapidly aging,
so there was a different need of medical care than say Kansas City or
St Louis or Springfield. Rapid aging, lack of infrastructure, base of
funding besides family farms where kids were going to the big city.

Look at Columbia that had 3 hospitals at the time in its boundaries,
some counties didn't have one. Way different problems. From taxes to
infrastructure.

How to split the US up is nice, but Oklahoma in the same country with
Texas? or Arkansas, yuck. Doesnt' South Dakota want the Northern part
to just belong to Canada? Let alone Oregon and California. There are
no doubt others.

OK, besides Hawaii is going to Japan. They pretty much bought it in
the 70s though they did default on some of it.
