lies all lies

The electric barbed wire was low voltage

There was flogging only every other day

The wounds from the brass edge of the ruler healed in less than a month

There was only one hour detention for not knowing the "saint of the day"

When you had to kneel on your fingers in the hallway as punishment it
was for no more than an hour at a time

But then of course I was at a showcase school in Montgomery county.
Im sure it may have been much worse at other schools.

in my 8 years at st mary school the nuns never hit anybody.
they'd make you hit yourself on the back of your hand with a ruler.
making you look ridiculous was punishment enough.
