I know what it is. The question is why is it necessary for use as a
MINE?
It lets a submarine setup a torpedo attack in a place it's never been
and won't be anywhere near when the other side responds.
America needs to plan for how to attack Chinese littorals two decades
from now when the American SSN force is going to be less than fifty
and up against a greatly upgraded ASW defense.
