Otis was half right (nothing is more dangerous).
Blood group O- has no antigens in it, which means anyone can receive
it without getting a reaction (universal donor), as there is nothing
to react to. Blood group AB+ has every blood antigen, so can receive
anything without a reaction (because their body already accepts all
the blood antigens without a reaction).
The article was about plasma (wothout blood cells, so without antigens). AB plasma has the advantage, that it carries no anti*bodies*, so it is ideal for plasma infusions.
Antigens sit on the red blood cells, antibodies float in the plasma. You should have antibodies against all antigens that are not on your own blood cells.
