Oh goodie, five submarines designed for operations in cold water (10

That is within the temperature range for the Black Sea.

What the hell good is a submarine in the Black Sea?
As much good as the tiger-poo pellets we scatter around the garden to
frighten off elephants - I've never seen an elephant near our garden!
NATO nations have certainly exercised their right of innocent free passage
to cruise the Black Sea : it's probably prudent of the Ruskii Morskii Sil to
have a few DE boats to assure themselves that the passage(s) are innocent.

Good all weather training ground too. Wonder what that must be like at
depths below 200 Meters, where the goo is?
In naval science, the Black Sea is thought to have received its name
because of its hydrogen sulfide layer that begins about 200 meters
below the surface, and that ends all life from that point downward.
