Recruits that fail at boot camp have set themselves on a course of
failure for the rest of their lives. It's as simple as that.

No. No, it is not that simple or universal.

Although, I will accept a similar type statement,
"The underlying reasons that caused a recruit to fail
at Marine Corps recruit training, if not corrected,
are likely to cause more problems the rest of their lives."

So, what are you willing to understand, was the reason
you failed?

No service, and particularly the Marine Corps, wants
a person to fail. They put in a great amount of effort to
make a person able to succeed. The vast majority do
learn and adapt, and do succeed. Why did you fail?

If you really wanted to do well, and had been doing
PT of 3-5 mile runs and other workouts, I have trouble
believing that you failed for physical reasons.
I'd think it has more to do with attitude, mental, dedication,
and teamwork.

And - are you "spaming" this newsgroup, trying to
financially gain from your failure? Hmmmm.
Rather than buy something from you, I'd suggest
potential recruits get advice from someone who passed!

I want to take this opportunity to tell "a245" to have fun at the races this
weekend! Wish I could be there ....

And, as usual, you make good points.
