THE SLIP-WAY IS WAITING FOR PLATFORMS «MOSS»
The contract for building of the second semi-submerged platform "MOSS
CS-50" has been concluded with Norwegian Company "Moss Mosvold
Platforms AS".
According to the contract the Norwegians were planning to put orders
for building of three such like constructions in the definite period of
time. The contract for the building of the third platform will be
signed in September. In June 2005 the contract for the first platform
was signed, in February 2006 it was laid down in the slip-way shop.
According to the words of Deputy General Director V.V. Borodin, report
about the building of "MOSS CS-50" was heard on the meeting with
the representatives of the customer in Norway. By July the scope of
work, which Sevmash should carry out on forming the upper functional
structure of the first platform, shall be defined. The enterprise plans
to finish its building in March 2007.
The effective cooperation of Sevmash with foreign companies on building
of offshore platforms and ships of different classes has good
prospects. At present moment the possibility of realization of a number
of export projects in the area of marine equipment and civil
shipbuilding is developed on the enterprise.
