What do you think about term limits for Congresscritters?
Why should they be released from prison before they've finished their
sentance?
Oh, wait, you mean *before* they get caught. Although there is the
rare soul that would do good things with a career in Congress, they're
lost in the noise of the crap we send there, and it would be worth the
loss of the good to flush out the bad.
There is another reason for term limits: the Founding Fathers did not
envision professional politicians. Instead they foresaw that lawmakers
would be citizens of their states and districts first and congressmen and
senators second. Thus, they would serve for awhile and then go home.
In stark contrast the goal of virtually all members of congress is to keep
getting elected until retirement. Those who do get beat usually end up
staying in Washington. That's bad, it seems to me.

Which do you consider the better person the giver of a bribe or the
taker of a bribe? And can you justify having either as your
representative if he fills your district with the results of giving or
taking a bribe?
