Egypt severely oppresses it's Coptic Christians.


I've made lots of trips to Egypt, talked to lots of Copts from professor to taxi driver. Been to Coptic churches, cathedrals and festivals.
In Aswan to "bargain like a copt" is a compliment to the tourist who got a good deal

No place is perfect, But Egyptians see copts as part of their link directly back to Pharonic Egypt.
