in WWII members of the government didn't talk like the bushited do. they
didn't name spies. either.
when bush plugs his leaks he won't have to cry.
and in WWII when japan bombed pearl harbor we didn't respond by invading
chile or brazil.
Well, technically, Hitler declared war on the USA first. But the USA
was already heavily engaged in acts of war with Germany, primarily
attempting to protect convoys in the North Atlantic. US ships and
German submarines had exchanged hostile depth charge and torpedo fire
several times and one US destroyer had already been sunk--to say
nothing of the US actively donating war materiel to the United Kingdom
under several guises (trading old destroyers for Caribbean bases,
Lend-lease, etc.) Even so, the US response on Dec. 8 was to declare
war on Japan, not Germany.
