Let's be a bit realistic about this one. You _will_ be influenced by family,
social and other relationships. If you aren't you're not human. To the
extent that it will _overly_ influence your judgment, then you recuse
yourself.

But asking you to switch off is another absurdity in line with things like
telling the jury to disregard what they just heard.
