Nor by our collective shortfalls to prove something. Animal tests on this subject would be tricky on many leves i guess.

Can you navigate in direct sunlight?  Gee, it is quite hard to imagine
that bright light does not disturb the navigation of animals who use a
similar system at much lower noise levels....
