Bush has nominated Harriet Miers his personal friend and White House Crony to the Supreme Court. She has no repeat no judicial experinece whatever.
My prior post was in error, Justice Goldberg (nominated by Kennedy), had no judicial experience.
Again, your point? It's not required, and many on the "left" don't expect a Justice to be a judge.

Arthur Goldberg was Editor in Chief of the Northwestern University's Illinois law review at the age of 19. He assisted Dean Wigmore in the Third edition of his treatise. He ahd a long record of public writing and litigation.
