I used to wear the 1-Day Acuvue lenses. But by afternoon/evening my
eyes would always feel dry. So then they came out with the 1-Day
Acuvue Moist lenses, which is supposed to keep your eyes wet all day.
But I haven't really noticed a difference.
Is there another brand of lenses that does a better job of keeping
your eyes wet all day?
In general, the following contact lenss, in my experience, work best
to reduce the symptoms of people with mild dysfunctional tear
syndrome:
Vistakon Acuvue Oasys
Coopervision Proclear
CIBA Focus Night & Day
Patients with aything beyond mild disease may not find the quality of
life/vision with contact lenses to be acceptable
Has your eye care practitioner worked you up for dysfunctional tear
syndrome? You may get some relief of symptoms with treatment beyond
merely changing the type of contacts.
