The wikipedia article about floaters contains the following claim: <
Despite the name "floaters", many of these specks have a tendency to

there is a tendency for floaters to settle downward in the eye simply
by the force of gravity.
While the floaters in your eyes physically move down, you should see
them move upwards due to the inversion. Is that your experience?
It usually takes some prolonged period of
time for gravity to have an effect (months) since oftentimes floaters
have connections to collagen fibers are are suspended in a viscous
jelly-like matrix.
Is it your experience that floaters settle down after months, or after
minutes, as in the wikipedia article? It can't be both.
