I have had progressives in 1.67 in both Panamic and Physio 360--and I
prefer the Physio---my current glasses. Frame shape and size makes a
difference---the "short" frames that are so popular sometimes don't
turn out all that well in a progressive (if the vertical dimension
isn't tall enough there's not much room for the +add).
Not sure what you mean by "doubling up" on your glasses....

I will wear my normal glasses then I put on my reading glasses on the
tip of my nose. My kids laugh at me when I do this!!!
