strabismus in later life

I am 63 and i am petrified for my future.I have had strabismus in my
left eye that goes out since i was 3. I have had 3 eye surgeries on
the left eye at 6, 16 and 21. Now the eye is back out. I have glaucoma
(using drops),dry macular degeneration and cataracts in both eyes. I
am noticing slight changes. I have been finding for the last 8 months
that I cannot go anywhere that has a lot of space, like a mall or
store, without taking gravol before I go the gravol seems to help me
keep my balance and i use a cane all the time now. I am also noticing
that when I play bingo I am fine if the game is simple like playing
for a line, but if its 2 lines or anything else my eyes don't seem to
focus on the fact that I have 2 lines covered, the brain or my eyes
don't seem to register this and I have missed a few bingos. it's not a
life shattering event, but it cuts into my social activities. I have
only what the doctors call candle vision in the left eye. at the
moment i do see out of the right okay but i am terribly worried about
the future, since if something starts happening to the right eye i
don't have the left eye to fall back on. when i am tired i get double
vision, and i can no longer play arcade games on the computer because
that activity pulls on the muscles of the left eye. i no longer work
and i stopped driving over 8 years ago. does anybody have any ideas or
is there a medical person who can give me an idea what i am likely
facing. the doctors here don't tell me much. any input would be
appreciated. thanks.
Andy
