Why bother. I'm really not that much interested in what is going
through your mind. If you are certain that you are not a fool, then
why care what I or anybody thinks? My take is that you care --
perhaps too much -- about what we think ...
Dr G
You say you are not bothered about what is going thru my mind but it
is you who seems determined to change my mind so that it aligns with
your own thinking on myopia.
It seems once i have done that then i will be scientific.
Meanwhile you are not, it seems to me at all interested in what i have
to say, you just want me to shut up and agree with you.
Myopes have power and control issues. They have a need to change
others minds so that they feel more secure or more powerful or
adequate as human beings
I am not going to pretend that i am immune from that myself.
But it is you it seems to me who keeps attempting to get me to agree
with your point of view that i am in some way misguided or foolish to
believe what i believe.
I feel there is evidence that is sufficient for me, and it is true
that i am not overly bothered by whatever you think either..
However i would argue that i am using reason and science to explain
myself to you.
On the other hand your method seems more about something personal.
For no reasons that i can understand, so far, you want me to give up
my own beliefs and align them with your own. According to you i will
then be seeing things correctly. And i will no longer have "trash"
beliefs.
My own strong feeling is that you have a difficulty, because of your
way of seeing which is myopic, about allowing in reality. Instead
you have a habit of projecting your opinion.
To be fair to you this is the nature of the scientific world.
People talk about controlled studies and what not, but at the end of
the day controvery can rage for decades until all are of the same
opinion.
This list is not a science list for scientists. Its just a cosy club
of like minded people who insist on others having the same opinion.
Be it Otis or you or Zetsu or Mike Tyner the requirement is that we
all have the same opinion about myopia.
I think of myself as a scientist. If i am wrong about vision
problems then so be it.
My opinion on the matter is not that important to me. I am just
fascinated and interested by what i have observed so far. I think it
deserves further study.
