Didn't you write on another thread that reason is a left brain
function, which is characteristic to myopes and therefore lacks
"correct" seeing, whereas faith is the superior and correct view of
reality, acted by right brain visually healthy people?
Can you make up your mind?
You have not understood my meaning at all.
My meaning is that good reasoning or seeing is the combination of two
different ways of reasoning or seeing that brought together in
combination produce the correct way of seeing or reasoning.
Right brained seeing is no more correct than left brained seeing.
Both are equally but differently correct.
It is not an either or choice as you are thinking it is.
You need to see the entire picture of what i said.
I am not saying that left brained seeing is incorrect.
I am saying that correct seeing involves both left and right brained
ways of seeing.
I am saying the myopic way is to take a detail here and a detail there
and then attempt to construct an accurate way of seeing.
At a guess this is what you have tried to do and you have ended up
confused as to my meaning.
A.
You said nothing about combining. Only brain damaged people think
only with one brain hemisphere. Computers "see" only the details.
therefore they cannot immitate humane comprehensive intellectual
activity. We KNOW that.
But you DID elaborate about the inferiority of the left brain, and
dismissed Dawkins' statement about reason. You said that people need
to believe, rather than to apply reason, and that this is the problem
with humanity in this day and age. Come on, Andrew, you get entangled
in your contradicting statements, but you say that we, or I, are the
confused? You convince nobody but yourself and a couple of cookoos.
You have no proof for your theory, but you keep repeating it ad
nauseum, demanding that those who are unwilling to accept you on faith
will prove you wrong. You keep forgetting that you have AGREED that
the burden of proof is on YOU. You accuse those who are unwilling to
accept your theory without proof of clinging to their faith, and yet
you celebrate faith.
You are hopeless. HOPELESS. I understand that your theory is the
main meaning of your life and you can't examine it objectively. This
does not make you "right", and certainly cannot convince anybody in
your righteousness. The more you write the more ridiculous you sound.
