Having received PDT and Avastin together means that you are involved
with a doctor who is providing you with state-of-the-art and absolutely
the most cutting edge research treatment for MD.
The concept of nutritional supplementation with the AREDS
vitamin/mineral combination (which includes zinc, C, E, beta carotene as
well as lutein and copper) is an excellent idea-----to perhaps decrease
the risks of MD for the other eye. (As is eating all those fresh
veggies!) Depending upon the degree of damage to the MD eye, you might
experience some recovery of vision and there is a good chance it will
keep it from declining further.
I hope you do well with treatment.
