pupil dilation & halos on bright lights


My eyes were checked inside and I have pupil dilation
drops near the after.

My iris got wide and my lens accomodation is affected for
hours.

At night. I can see all point sources light sparkling.
Can anyone explain this? I own telescopes but no more
how big it is, it never sees point sources as sparkling
with halos.

How come wide pupillary dilation can cause halos?
