Hello
Have a BPH condition.
Tried for Flomax now for about 6 weeks, with really no effect in the
frequency
at night. Perhaps a bit of an improvement.
Saw that there are several non-Beta blocker types of medications available
for this condition, as well as Avodart, etc.
Surprising number of choices, available, surprisingly.
Will talk to my Dr. re the choices of course, but thought I'd like to ask
this first.
Realize the answers are obviously individual-based, but am curious.
Flomax is obviously the biggest advertiser.
But is there one of the other possibilities that has "generally" gained a
consensus of opinions
that it has proven most effective for most folks ?
Is there one other than Flomax that really stands out and has gained the
most acceptance, or is it
Flomax, like all their adds suggest ?
Thanks,
Bob
Nothing really worked for me and the side effects were unacceptable.
Surgery (PVP) out of the question at this time?
So what do you do? Just live with it?
I get the feeling that is about the only choice I have too.
I had a MRI and biopsy and cystopy. Thankfully everything was
negative, but I still have to go once an hour.
I do take Ambien so I can sleep for 6 hours or so before I have to get
up and go.
I took Flomax, but it made me very dizzy when I stood up. The sexual
sides for Flomax were unacceptable, too.
I have been taking Uroxatral for about a week, but I don't think
anything has changed.
I thought sexual sides would be positive in my case. Sadly they were
bad too.
