I had PVP in Jan. of 2005 with a prostate of about 150 grams in size.
Off and on for the past three years I have passed clots and some blood.
A couple of months ago I passed a lot of blood and other ugly looking stuff
and then the prostate started to feel better. The DR. did a cat scan and
shoved the camera up the urethra for a look. There was a lot of scar tissue
in the prostate from the PVP. In fact there was so much he could not find
the hole into the bladder to look inside. He was concerned about bleeding
from the bladder. The inside of the bladder does not show up very well on a
cat scan. He decided to wait a couple of months to see if I have any blood
in my urine. I have checked daily with some dip sticks, for that purpose,
and it has been ok.
Now we just wait and see.
He also suggested he could do a TURP and clean up the mess inside the
prostate. I am not interest in that as long as I can go!
Bill.

I had PVP three years ago with semi-satisfactory results. Suddenly,
this past week I started passing small blood clots.
Has it happened to anyone, years after PVP?
I am scheduled to see my Urologist this week.
Thanks.
