Hello
Have a BPH condition.
Tried for Flomax now for about 6 weeks, with really no effect in the
frequency
at night. Perhaps a bit of an improvement.
Saw that there are several non-Beta blocker types of medications available
for this condition, as well as Avodart, etc.
Surprising number of choices, available, surprisingly.
Will talk to my Dr. re the choices of course, but thought I'd like to ask
this first.
Realize the answers are obviously individual-based, but am curious.
Flomax is obviously the biggest advertiser.
But is there one of the other possibilities that has "generally" gained a
consensus of opinions
that it has proven most effective for most folks ?
Is there one other than Flomax that really stands out and has gained the
most acceptance, or is it
Flomax, like all their adds suggest ?
Thanks,
Bob
Hope & pray I've found the light at the end of the tunnel

DIET AND LIFESTYLE
I have been abstinent about any kind of drugs since the TURP,
(thinking it would save my marriage, NOT)
Stay away from anything: Alcohol, hot and spicy, meats, fried foods,
to name a few.
Concentrate on: Exercise, sitz baths, active sex life with a pleasing
partner whom you know and trust, flaxseed oil enemas as needed, fruits
and vegetables, maintaining a BMI weight.
Monitoring your prostate size via TransRectal Ultrasond every three
months.
Listen to your body, it doesn't lie. Ramón
