Flonase is a corticosteroid (to reduce inflammation) and has nothing

Sorry Temujin...I think I may have misinterpreted your post. I guess you
were taking the flonase (which is basically for allergy type stuff) because
the alpha blockers (hytrin and flomax) were dilating your blood vessels in
your nose, and plugged your nose up (like they do me). Did the flonase
counteract the stuffy nose (I am surprised since it is strictly an
anti-inflammatory corticosteroid spray like I said).

It is a shame you did that for years without suspecting the flomax or
hytrin. They plug me up immediately and I can not breathe through my nose
at all. I am surprised that your doctor kept prescribing the flonase
indefinitely, as that is not good. I have taken every steroid inhaler and
nose spray they made (back in the 90's). Take care...Pete
