Can't comment on what to do before you go in, but I have some definite
advice for after the procedure: DRINK LOTS AND LOTS OF WATER. I mean LOTS.
I did this, drinking as much as I could - and then drinking even more!! The
result was that I had NO pain on urination following the surgery because, I
believe, the water made my urine considerably less acid. I continued this
for a good week and a half, and was shocked at how painless my recovery was.
