chair without his tailbone ( coccyx ) starting to hurt. We purchased a
memory foam cushion for him to sit on but this doesn't seem to remedy the
problem. He relieves the pain only by laying on his back to sleep. Is
there any kind of special memory foam seat or chair that address this kind
of issue? He has tried to just lean forward and this doesn't seem to help
much.
Then, if he has a favorite chair, experiment with changing the cushion. It's hard to evaluate without
seeing the situation. Perhaps a layer of firmer foam on top of the cushion, with a cut-out to accomodate
his sacrum, might help.....the firmer foam to support his thighs and buttocks, and the cutout to keep the
cushion from touching his sacrum. Lambs wool also adds soft padding. Does he experience skin breakdown?
