If it was an electronic chart, then probably lots of people would have
access. The idea is to make them fairly easy to get to for continuity of
care as a patient wanders from place to place throughout the house.



My guess is that the heavy hand treatment came down partially on
recommendation from "upstairs", as in the legal department. Despite what
Mr. Clooney may have said or said, hospital has no way of knowing what
he may do legally and would be well within his rights. Then there is the
girlfriend, over who we know little about how much influence Mr. Clooney
has if any over her decisions regarding the matter. By taking quick,
decisive and what may be seen by some as severe actions, at least the
hospital can cover their rear should things ever go as far as the
courts.

Heck they have every way of knowing that this will get out and that
there is a good bet someone at JCAHO reads people. There could be heck
to pay with the accreditors, state licensing, etc. independent of what
the Georgster desires.
