What happens at a medical exam?

Hello,
I am dutch and I have recently started a job as a nanny, taking care of
3 adorable children. Now the father (he is a single parent his wife
died unfortunately) wants me to have a complete medical exam (Saying
that I do not like to see a doctor is definately an understatemen). I
have told him that I am healthy (I can see that he might be scared
since his wife recently died) and I understand that I should be checked
for maybe TB. But I doubt that the exam will only focus on infectious
diseases, since I had to fill in a huge questionaire and the the letter
from the dr. office states that the entire exam will take 1 - 1.5
hours.
It cannot have to do anything with insurance, because I am insured
under dutch law. This means that I can see any dr I want, for any
problem I might have without asking my insurance company first. They
will also pay for everything including medication. Although I like New
York very much and meet wonderfull people (it is not true what
europeans say about americans !), I think the medical insurance is
definately better in the Netherlands.
Can preferably a doctor tell me what I can expect going to a medical
exam ? Again, I am not applying for in the army to become an F16
jetpilot, what is reasonable to be examined for ? What will exactly
happen? what test will be performed? will I have to completely undress?
Will it be painfull? Will I get shots? etc. Well I asume you are people
working in the medical profession, I am sure you understand what I am
nervous about.
Please no vulgar postings. There are plenty of places to do that.
