I have been taking Forteo for 1 1/2 years without any problems. Prior
to the Forteo I was on Fosamax. I have had bone density scans for the
last 4 years and have shown improvement in bone density each year.
Imagine your bone as a road full of potholes. Fosamax and similar
drugs only add a top layer of bone, Forteo actually fills the potholes
and adds a top layer of bone. Based on my medical conditions and the
research I did I decided that taking the Forteo was my best option.
