I take my Fosamax with about 10 oz of DISTILLED water. I warm the water
up in the microwave because I find it easier to drink it all quickly if
it's warm. I use distilled because my tap water has a lot of minerals
in it. I wait 1 to 1 1/2 hours before eating breakfast. I feel that by
using distilled water and waiting the extra time I am getting the
maximum benefit from the Fosamax.

Mike, do you wait that long to drink coffee? Have you ever read that the
Fosamax would keep on working if you wait? Until the past 4-6 weeks I
waited the full hour even though we only have to wait 30 minutes. I'm
curious if I should wait. I read the package and it doesn't say an hour is
better - just 30 minutes.
