headquarters, probably in the US, and "global" the foreign
subsidiaries.

You'll frequently see jargon such as "escalate the issue to
corporate" when what is meant is "refer the difficulty to head
office".

In American bank usage, business borrowers are divided into various groups by the size of their sales or assets. For example: small business, middle market, corporate (meaning large corporations active in one country), multinational (large corporations active in many countries), and international (companies based in other countries).

I suspect this is the general sense used in your document.
