Catalyze the efforts of our environmental engineering department and
take on a pivotal leadership position with our company. As a confident,
licensed civil engineer who wants to lead an elite engineering team,
you will have your wish realized in this challenging role that will

a highly visible role in which you will be the driving force enabling
us to secure new contracts to design water and waste water treatment
facilities, water storage and distribution, and waste water conveyance
systems and provide a host of other engineering services. If you have

engineering services for the past thirty years. We are a certified
women's business enterprise and offer to municipal and county
governments and to private businesses a wide range of engineering
services which include but are not limited to: Water and Waste Water
Systems, Storm Water Management, Roadways, Land Development, Surveying,
Traffic Engineering, GIS and Other Services.
As our Environmental Engineer/Department Head, based in Lafayette, IN,
your primary responsibility will be direct oversight of all technical
and management issues within the environmental design department. You
will work hand-in-hand with the owner to develop project schedules and
budgets. Throughout project development, you will be in communication
with the owner and direct work progress in house. In this and other key
assignments your ability to evaluate an existing system, perform
hydraulic design calculations and analyze collective data to help you
sort through various design alternatives will be fundamental to your
success. As a seasoned engineer you can grasp the big picture during
site reviews and are highly skilled in assessing a wide variety of
interrelated issues that will set the parameters of your overall
design, including plant equipment, structural and electrical design
coordination, soil conditions, land acquisition and easement, and
regulatory requirements. Your hands-on aptitude with AutoCAD, StormCAD
and other tools will be leveraged on a variety of projects and skills
in MS Excel and PowerPoint will add to your productivity, the latter
being especially useful during client presentations. With strong
personnel skills you will be able to mold, motivate and manage a core
team of engineering talent and help to more than double the size of
your department and become a true difference maker for Hawkins
Environmental.
