The sidereal year is 365.256363004 days (J2000.0), therefore
four years would be 1461.025452016 days.

The tropical year is 365.242190402 days (J2000.0), therefore
four years would be 1460.968761608 days.

Both are approximately 1461 days.

Who exactly is claiming 1465 days?

How many screaming fools don't know their own views let alone the
proper views which begin with the creation of the calendar cycle which
effectively encloses 1461 days in 4 orbital circuits,as daily and
orbital motions are separate,formats this observation into 3 years of
365 days/rotations and 1 year of 366 days/rotations and from there
into the creation of the 24 hour AM/PM system allied to the Lat/Long
system.

By definition,a geologist is supposed to know the core fact that the
Earth is round,rotating and has an equatorial speed of 1037.5 miles
per hour,that the 24 hour clock with its AM/PM cycle were designed
with the principle in mind and that the interlink between planetary
dynamics and geology is crucial for the advancement of geology and
especially bringing to notice the spherical deviation of the Earth as
a geological feature.
