I don't know. If it was, that would explain why he didn't get as far along
as the Germans - too much experimenting with ways to get high off the
stuff). :-)

I appear to have been wrong - Goddard was (mostly) working with LOX/
kerosene. However N2O4 is commonly used as a component in hypergolic mixtures
(ones where the components ignite on mixing, requiring no ignition
pyrotechnics) with either hydrazine, methyl hydrazine, or dimethyl hydrazine.

I suppose I'd better check the mail now for any evidence of Polina
having predicted the NBO (Next Big One) ... Nope, nothing more than a 5.0 in
Baja California.
