On Stan Deyo's earthquake forecast map posted yesterday, there
are 27 circles, one of which is nearly 4000km across!! YIKES!
He's a guy who is also weirdly popular across the internet; on another forum
someone was going on about the Mozambique quake being "near" one of his
circles. He did have a circle in the vicinity of Madagascar that day, but to
extend it to cover the epicenter would have required about doubling the
radius; do that with all his circles, and you've probably got 1/3rd of the
surface area of the planet, and basically all the plate boundaries,
completely covered.
