Hello All,
I am looking for anyone who has been using the Trimble S6 in a mining/
construction environment. I would like to know what kind of packages
(S6 + what kind of data collector / software / etc.) you are using and
how satisfied are you with this equipment.
My boss asked me to look into a one-man survey option and the S6
seemed a nice option.
Let me know your thoughts / impressions.
Thanks to all in advance !!!

I bought an S6 primarily because of the excellent tracking, you can
get upto about 1 metre away and it will track you at walking pace,
unlike all others I have tried which lose lock. Software and logger
are also v. good and simple, all windows based & the logger (TSC2) has
wireless, bluetooth etc. I use it also with VRS and the whole thing
makes everything very fast. I tried Topcon & Leica for a week each but
didn't like the logger software on either (Leica too fiddly & Topcon
too bossy). I'd reccomend the Trimble as best of the lot.
