Does anyone know where I might find documentation on this topic - hopefully freely available on the internet.
I have not found anything useful, even on the Trimble documents website.
But I have figured most of it the hard way and I really like it.
We build our roads by importing the alignment from LDD into Trimble Geomatics Office (TGO) and then import into the sub-program of RoadLinks. You can then build the alignment table. Each element in the table(bearing, dist, or radius, length is input by selecting the element in the drawing. Left and right curves are by positive and negative radius. The designed roadway is visible over the imported for checking input. This can be exported directly to the Controller. Cross sections can be done the same way or by just building them in the Controller.
Simple alignments are easy to build in the field with starting coordinates and then elements.
I have only find one Trimble rep that knew how to run this and I hired him away to run my construction projects!
I will be happy to try and answer any questions that you might have. It really works very well for staking out but without documentation, no one knows about it.
