What I would like to see is a battery/dynamo combination with circuitry such
that the lights would stay at full bright regardless of speed, a button to
disengage the dynamo going up tiring hills and a "super charge" mode so the
generating capacity could be increased going down long hills to quickly
charge the battery. And, from the lighting standpoint, a fluorescent "area
light" mounted underneath the frame so that a puddle of light on the
pavement makes the bike and rider easier to see using negative contrast.
Flashing LEDs are fine, but there's too much competition and distraction
from other flashing lights to quickly distinguish bikes from everything
else.
