They could be 304 SS, but to be safe use 316L or 317L filler.

Water in Diesel (Part 2) ... When we get home one of the first jobs will be to relocate them to a more sensible and higher place along with the filler point ... The tanks are now filled with fresh diesel and a good dose of Fuelset, filter all changed again all we get now is a very small amount of water/contaminated fuel from the bottom of the day tank after it has sat overnight ...
