Hi Denis
I have had a look at the website, but a lot of the information listed on it
is out of date.
Where is the final product to be sold?
If in North America and Europe, ensure that the transformer has a UL or CSA
approval for North America and any European Approval BSI, TUV, VDE etc, it
does not matter which one as long as it has one. You can then be sure that
if you need to get an approval for your product that the transformer will be
accepted. The same principle applies for most other countries and mains
connected components that you use. It is better to be safe at this stage of
the project and specify the right approved components, than get to the time
when you need and approval for your product and have it rejected because a
capacitor you specified is not approved.
