Thanks a lot for your answer Gernot!
Do you know if it's possible to disable the automatic color adjustments on
that kind of screen? (because I use my own color management system)
Many thanks.
Bob.

Hello,
I would like to buy a good quality screen for doing color management, in

I've heard of EIZO, what do you think?
Thanks a lot in advance.
Bob.
Bob,
I'm using two EIZO CG19 TFTs.
Both were calibrated by GMB Eye-One Pro.
One for Win98, the other for WinXP.
The integrated calibration system EIZO Color
Navigator requires WinXP or something equivalent.
Then the monitor LUTs with 12 bit per channel
resolution are used.
Under Win98, the calibration is based on graphic
card LUTs (8bpc) and additional software.
The result is practically the same (very satisfying).
Somewhat strange is this: EIZO C.Nav. shows
only a few patches. It seems, that the calibration
relies much on built-in factory settings.
The gamut is not as near to sRGB as we got
used for CRTs. Somewhat narrower in the blue range,
but this isn't visible for average applications.
