Well, here is my concern. Being a recent graduate as a Structural
Engineer, I am inspecting that most of the companies wants to hire M.S.
graduate more than B.S. graduate engineer. I got my degree from UC San
Diego. The schools in my area usually have M.S. in Structural but not
B.S, because it's specialized field I guess. That's why, I think it
will be wise for me to get my M.S. only for purpose of getting better
jobs. Lot of my buddies are saying, stay with the current company and
get the PE, but when I look at the job descriptions for the companies,
most of them want M.S. with PE. Is that a normal for my field? or is it
only happening in my area?
Another thing is, I can get my M.S. from San Diego State, but that
school isn't nearly as well known as my old school. Won't that effect
my carrer?
.
