Solution Resistance

Hi Guys,

I am getting ready to do some corrosion resistance measurements and
having been reading up on the electrochemistry involved.

I have a very basic question that I have been trying to understand.

What is exactly solution resistance?
Is that the electrolyte's resistance to flow of current?
If it is, how can that be?
Isn't the electrolyte a conducting solution like NaCl solution?
Then how can it offer any resistance?

I guess I am missing some basic detail here.

Please help.
