I bought it in my supermarket COOP in Switzerland in the vitamins
section. Its a product from Abtei. It claims to be a rich source of
citric acids and good for hair and nails. The dosage recommended is 1
teaspoon in water or milk or fiuce 3 X a day after meals.
I took a pH reading of a siliceous earth powder (mixed in tap water)
and found it to be basic with a pH value of 9. Can any one explain me
why?

in the U.S., no goverment agency regulates the sale of products like this unless it can be shown that the product is killing its users. There are dangerous things in stores, and many people think they are OK because they are "natural". That is why I asked if they are safe. Are they regulated in Switzerland? Do they even have a list of ingredients? Can you know that the list is correct?
